Club membership

We allow 'first timers' 3 free sessions when we will teach you the basics of the game, and you can use club boules.

After 3 sessions we hope that you have enjoyed yourself so much that you will be keen to join the club.

The current (June 2018) annual membership fees are $75, of which $35 covers affiliation to the national body, The Petanque Federation of Australia (PFA). PFA affiliation provides members with a licence allowing them to play in PFA sanctioned competitions, and PFA afilliation also provides our club with public liability insurance for club events. Membership fees for juniors under the age of 18 years is $35. Our financial year runs from July 1st to June 30th. You can check the PFA website at Club members receive invitations to play in tournaments both in the ACT and interstate.

If you want to purchase boules talk to fellow club members for advice and you will be pointed in the right direction on how to buy a set to suit your game and hand size. A good set of 3 boules costs around $100 to $300. They will last you a long time. See Equipment webpage.
